Penelope is a good Steampunk name

So I tried to translate the steampunk look in a way that works on your body, for your life and doesn’t make you look like you’re role playing. It’s all about adding together a number of subtle touches - the camera bag with the safety pin necklace, scarf, vest and or blazer, riding pants and boots and all of a sudden the overall feel is more victorian/holmes than just new york black. or the skirt or trousers with a dramatic blouse and vest and booties and the overall look is a lot more than ann taylor. play around with these kinds of elements and you’ll end up with a look that(hopefully) you were going for.

one note: I only included one bustier and basically no bustles, etc because your athletic/boyish figure isn’t going to be flattered by the exaggerated hourglass shapes, it will look forced and a little weird so think more sexy Sherlock Holmes and Amelia Earhart than tavern wench.
