Also, one of the stores I used, shopbop, is actually based in Wisc. so you could even go to the store and clearly nordstrom and american apparel are everywhere. They all have great shipping service and flexible return policies for when you order 100 things and then travel for 2 weeks.

this dress is outrageously spot on. the black and grey, one shoulder(one time broad shoulders work in your favor) and waist cinching stripes. This is like a laid for sure dress.
All work. all play.
Your work look is comfortable and trendy without looking like a cornpone soccer mom or a reject from “The City”. the tricks are the gravitas bearing watch, the serious blazer and impressive shoes. other than that it’s really all spandex and cotton.
none of these particular pieces work for you but the overall effect(which is totally re-creatable with your jeans and the pieces below) is exactly what you’re aiming for.
